At
Unity Church we welcome all who seek to know their oneness with
God. We are a spiritual community that understands diversity as God's
great teacher. We follow the teachings of Jesus, but see ourselves as a
faith based on the teachings of Jesus and not on the religion about
Jesus. We enjoy finding the common threads that link Jesus'
understanding of God with the other religious traditions. It is our
belief that humanity as a whole is the family of God and we joyously
seek to restore our connectedness to each other.
As a tradition,
Unity embraces the idea that mind is our link to God. We believe our
thoughts form our world and shape our future. To us God is the one
presence and one power in the universe. God is also absolute good. As
we change our beliefs and attitudes to harmonize with this goodness we
call God, our lives take on positive directions and embrace the love
that God is and we are.
