Our Commitment to Prayer
The Wednesday Night Prayer Service - 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary
Individual
prayer requests are made silently or audibly followed by a brief period
of prayer and a 20-minute period in the silence. The silence is a time
to deepen our personal connection to the presence and power of God. All
are welcome.
Prayer Chaplain
A
member of the Prayer Chaplain team is available to pray
individually with you following the service every Sunday morning.
During the week, you may call the church at 217/328-6963 to request
that a Prayer Chaplain call to pray with you.
The Prayer Box
Prayer
requests are your conscious commitment to seek God’s activity in your
life. The Prayer Box is located in the rear of the sanctuary; blue
prayer request forms are available next to the box for your use. All
requests are kept confidential and they are never read. At the
end of each month, the box is prayerfully emptied and all requests
shredded in a prayer service of gratitude.
Silent Unity
For
any prayer need, you may write, call or email Silent Unity. All prayer
requests are treated with reverence and confidentiality. Write: 1901 NW

prayer request at www.silentunity.org.
The Prayer Circle
Available
to anyone experiencing a time of crisis or a need for prayerful support
to bring forth the good in their lives, the Prayer Circle is a group of
anonymous individuals committed to a life of prayer who will hold you
in prayer each day for a month. This group prays only for the highest
and best in all situations. All prayer requests are held in sacred
confidence. Complete Prayer Circle Request form at church and deposit
it in the Prayer Circle box, or write: Prayer Circle, Christ Unity
Church, 1206 E. Main St., Urbana, IL 61802.

The
monthly devotional magazine published by Unity is known worldwide. Many
people begin their mornings by reading and praying with the Daily Word.
Each day we are given an inspirational message, along with a word or
phrase to help us focus our prayers. Copies of each month’s Daily Word are available at our church bookstore, online at www.daily word.org (also on our Home Page) or as a magazine subscription by writing:
